The Elmore County ‚ÄúBama Boosters‚Äù is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the ongoing support of past, current, and future students of the University of Alabama and Fans.  We currently have two scholarships for Elmore County students.  We have opportunities for professional development with speakers from the University of Alabama.  We have other events to raise funds for the endowed scholarships that we currently sponsor.  We also have smaller groups that gather for social occasions as scheduled.  The group stands to function as a liaison between fans, alumni, and students and the University.

The Elmore County Chapter has awarded over $37,000 in scholarship money to Elmore County students, beginning in the fall of 1985. The program started by awarding $500 each year to nine different students. In 1991, under the leadership of Art Bolin, our first endowed scholarship began. Since 1992, we have awarded 16 students a total of $18,681. With the help of Joyce Bolin in 1993, the chapter began raising money for its second endowed scholarship, the Joe A. Macon, Jr., Memorial Endowed Scholarship.  Since that time, we have awarded 13 more Elmore County students a total of $14,534.

But we're not done yet!

We need help to ensure we continue to award deserving students with scholarships. With annual donations to our local scholarship funds, along with the matching license tag program, we hope to accomplish our goals and keep on giving!

You can contribute to the Loryn Alexandria Brown Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund by printing off this SCHOLARSHIP CONTRIBUTION FORM, completing the required information, and mailing the form to the given address.

Thank you for helping make the dream of attending The University of Alabama a reality for Elmore County students!

Now it’s easier than ever to contribute to a

chapter scholarship endowment!

A new secured, on-line giving site has been created to give everyone the opportunity to make a contribution.

By going to http://alumni.ua.edu/scholarships, you will find the link to “Contribute to an Alumni Chapter Scholarship”.  The scholarships are listed in order by state and chapter.  Simply find your chapter, click on the scholarship to which you would like to contribute, then complete and submit the giving information.

The donor will receive a receipt that can be used for tax purposes.

Thank you for supporting the National Alumni Association Scholarship Program which helps students realize their dreams of attending our great University!

If you have any questions, please contact Paula Jeter, Asst. Manager of Alumni Scholarships & Endowments, at 205-348-1556 or pjeter@alumni.ua.edu

We encourage you to give to any or all three of our scholarrships - the Elmore County Chapter Endowed, the Joe A. Macon, Jr. Memorial Endowed and the Loryn Alexandria Memorial Endowed so the chapter scholarships will benefit from the matching tag money that the National Alumni Association awards to scholarships that have had donations made to them by the end of June.
