I would like to welcome any and all University of Alabama Alumni, friends and fans to join our local UA Alumni Chapter. We like to get together several times a year to cheer on the Tide in various sports, travel and tailgate together on the Quad at home football games and encourage area students to consider attending the University with the help of local scholarships.

May 17, 2011: Annual Spring Meeting (invitation)
During this meeting, two scholarships totaling more than $1600 each were awarded to local students attending UA in fall 2011.
At that meeting, Kenny Roberts, a local Meridian High School and MCC graduate, was also recognized. He will be transfering to UA fall 2011 on a baseball scholarship and recently named a second team Junior College All-American. Read more about this honor here!

Entering freshmen
The fall semester of a student’s senior year in high school is crucial. December 1 is the priority date for high school seniors to submit both the UA Application for Admission at apply.ua.edu and the UA Application for Scholarships via the myBama.ua.edu portal in order to receive consideration for scholarship review campus-wide.
Transfer Students
In order for transfer students to receive scholarship consideration campus-wide, the priority date to submit both the UA Application for Admission found at apply.ua.edu and the UA Application for Scholarships via the myBama.ua.edu portal is March 1.
